Interesting…Exploring American Designers

This editorial is okay. I am not blown away by it. Something is missing…despite the model’s best effort to try a different array of poses, it only comes out looking desperate and unimaginative. Maybe the problem lies in its ADD styling, what with the different hair styles, headpieces and themes going on. On top of that, the model is shot at a weird angle with weird lighting and a discernibly harsh/ distracting shadow, which makes her somehow look like some Martian from the 40’s.

Despite its flaws, I think this editorial is worth checking out.  It has a noble, well-intentioned concept, which is to showcase American designers and the American aesthetic of easy to wear sports wear.

I just wish they executed the thing in more, shall we say, “not half-assed” manner.

Ugh, those cuffed trousers will haunt me. How old do you thing the model is, like 70? They made her look like some grandma from Florida.
