M is for Margiela

The September 2008 issue of Interview Magazine is my favorite, my ultimate fashion issue! It has Kate Moss as a cover girl and inside features my favorite avante garde designers such as Azzedine Alaia, Alexander McQueen, Alber Elbaz and Rick Owens.  On top of that, they have an interview with Stefano Pilate. They also have pages upon pages of polaroids featuring the faces that you need to know in the fashion industry.  Along with that, there is also an editorial that introduced me to the wonderful world of Gareth Pugh (the grey zipper-lined suit instantly grabbed my eye).  But what deems this issue as my ultimate issue the magazine’s bravery in featuring Margiela (not only with an editorial, but with an accompanying article). How many US magazines can you say does that? That. Never. Happens. Especially not in US Vogue.
