Anyway, the other day, I was looking around on Ebay for vintage Vogue Magazines. I have been collecting Vogue (including foreign Vogues) for over 2 years now, and I'm very curious about those old Vogue issues, because, simply all I know is recent Vogue, and my runway knowledge only really dates back to Spring 2007 - with a few exceptions.
So, here are a few images I have found while looking on Ebay for vintage Vogues!

This is a rare look at what it used to look like decades ago, when a designer presented their collections. This is from a 1960's Vogue, in an article about the 1966 Chanel collection.

This is an image from a 1950's Vogue Magazine issue. In the photo-shoot, the newest fashions from Paris are being displayed. Anyway, when I saw this, I noticed that this top looked a bit familiar to me.....

Louis Vuitton Fall 2008. Kind of similar, no? I remember when Marc was describing his inspiration for this collection he mentioned that it was his idea of "a classic French fashion show", how they used to be, when Yves and Givenchy - themselves - were in charge. I remember him also saying that he looked at old issues L'Officiel and Vogue to get some inspiration. So, who knows? Maybe he did actually see this photo-shoot and drew inspiration from it.

Now, last month when Vogue published their May issue featuring several models on the cover, all of the blogs mentioned the past issues of Vogue featuring groups of fashion models, but how come I have never heard of this one? Vogue January 1992 - possibly one of the first issues featuring a group of new fashion models. You can see Eva Herzigova and Beverly Peele - before they hit Super Model status.
