Cover Rumors

Okay, there are major rumors concerning the October 2009 issue of Vogue Italia. I know, the September issue hasn't even come out yet, but I love cover rumors. This is the hint given from theIMAGIST for next month's cover

"What we heard made our jaws drop. Seams its one part today's fastest rising new face and one part comeback-of-the-year. All roads lead back to Marc Jacobs."

I personally think/hope Karlie's the 'new face', since she is the fastest rising new face and Steven Meisel gave her that massive compliment and the whole Marc Jacobs thing comes into play because Karlie is the face of his newest perfume: Lola. It's presumed that Karlie, Monica "Jac" Jagaciak, and Lindsay Wixson (they all look very similar, especially when they smile) were all shot for a Vogue Italia editorial for October. Those are all very new faces. I know Jac has also worked with Marc Jacobs recently. And, as for the comeback perhaps it's Jamie Bochert? She was working circa 2002 then she took a little break I guess, and she had a major comeback opening Marc Jacobs Spring 2009 show. Anyway, I have no idea, but I can't wait to see it!

Vogue Paris September 2009 Rumors

Remember those rumors about Sessilee Lopez and Chanel Iman shooting a cover together? Well, it looks like those rumors are popping up again all over The Fashion Spot, except with a little more info.

Supposedly, Sessilee will be on the cover of Vogue Paris, for their September issue (biggest issue of the year) with, and I quote; "an Asian girl", and a "luscious blonde going black and edgy." I'm guessing the Asian girl is Chanel Iman as previously suggested, right? Even though she's only half Asian - she's still Asian. And, for the luscious blonde who died her hair black people are speculating either Lara Stone, Caroline Trentini, possibly Doutzen Kroes....

And, people are wondering if possibly, just maybe, it could be Gemma Ward making a comeback. 

AGAIN, Gemma is just a rumor, it's most likely not true. But, if it is, wouldn't that be amazing?

I, myself, am wondering if it will be an American model. Considering, Chanel Iman and Sessilee Lopez originally called it "A MAJOR MOMENT IN FASHION!!!", and since both girls are American, maybe it will be an all American model cover?

Exciting...

This is something that I posted in a Top Spot Topic in my club about a month ago, and I thought I'd post about it here too - because it's important (again, this news is from a month ago, but still...)! 

Models Chanel Iman and Sessilee Lopez both posted "tweets" on Twitter, from London, about an amazing photo-shoot that they were each doing. Although they didn't mention being together for the shoot, the tweets were posted on the same day, only a few hours apart. Rumors are starting that they landed the cover of Vogue Paris, British Vogue, or Love, which is very big for two of the industries top black, and arguably two of the top American-born models. 

Chanel's tweet: "IN London Shooting a MAJOR SURPRISE COVER!!!!Its top secret can't give it away!!" 

Sessilee's tweet: "Leaving London now!!! My God when you guys see the photos from this shoot you will die, all i can say is ITS A MAJOR MOMENT IN FASHION!!!!!" 

Now, (this news is from today...) besides this, there are all sorts of rumors concerning Sessilee and Vogue Paris. It is confirmed that Sessilee shot with Vogue Paris (without Chanel Iman) for one of their next issues. Nobody knows if it was for a cover, or just an editorial though. 

I really hope we see another cover for Sessilee. Hopefully maybe even two! Her last (and only) cover came out last year around this time, and it's time she gets a second one. I'm always pulling for the American girls!

Vogue Paris June/July 2009

No, the cover has not been released yet for this highly anticipated (well, for me the June/July issue is highly anticipated! Haha) summer issue for Vogue Paris. However, their cover girl has been released - and, it has many people pleasantly surprised.... 

Anja Rubik! 

She has been working for almost 10 years, debuting for Givenchy in Fall fashion week during February of 2000. Since then, Anja has had a steady career. However, she has somehow managed to stay under the radar in a way. She has had a few covers - and although she has worked with many big names - still, many say that she has never really had as much exposure as she deserves. Now, with this June/July issue of the one-and-only Vogue Paris, Anja is surely getting what she deserves. Not Natasha or Lara - but Anja! I can't wait to see the cover, and get the issue at Barnes & Noble!
