Meryl Streep has had 15 Academy Award nominations - the most acting nominations anyone has had, and we all know that Vogue loves the Oscar girls...

Every year we have Nicole Kidman, Keira Knightley, Gwenyth Paltrow etc.. and with next month's cover girl set to be Charlize Theron, I can't help but wonder why one of Hollywood's most well-respected actresses is constantly ignored. She appeared on an issue of Vogue Paris in the 1980's but since then Streep has never appeared on any other covers for the magazine. I find this especially odd considering everyone from Paris Hilton to a mediocre actress from the CW show "Gossip Girl", to Donald Trump's new wife has been on Vogue.

Although Meryl Streep has a new film ("Julie & Julia") coming out soon, and another new film coming out this winter with Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin entitled "It's Complicated" Charlize Theron lands a Vogue cover even though I'm not sure she even has anything to promote.
This is Meryl Streep's last fashion magazine cover from three years ago:

So, is it because Meryl Streep isn't in her 30's? Or is it because of the way she looks? Or is it because of this?

Perhaps Anna holds a grudge against Meryl after "The Devil Wears Prada"?
Even though Anna has politely said that she supported the film, there have been many reports that she pressured fashion designers not to be a part of the film or else she would not feature them in her magazine.

I know this post was kind of pointless but I couldn't think of anything else to write about. Haha!
